Touted as a combination of Vladimir Horowitz, Roger Williams and Liberace, Gurl is also a gifted singer, dancer, actor and impressionist.

Lenny Ski studied violin at the New England Conservatory of Music and has extensive experience performing with stage shows, pop and dance bands and bluegrass groups. He recorded an album with legendary singer and songwriter Dicky Betts—a member of the Allman Brothers Band. For more than 15 years, Ski was the featured star performer on cruise ships worldwide. Hank Williams
 &  My
Honky-Tonk Heroes

He's traveled Hank Williams' Lost Highway from Nashville to Broadway...and now he's bringing his award-winning sounds of the country music legend out on the road.

Jason Petty has won critical acclaim all over the country for his surreal performance as country legend Hank Williams in the off-Broadway hit Hank Williams' "Lost Highway'".

So much so that his performance racked up 5 nominations in New York's award ceremonies for Best Actor. Now, this multi-talented singer/actor/musician is bringing his own tribute show out on the road for. This new show is called "Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes" and showcases Jason's uncanny ability to capture the sounds of Hank Williams.

The show takes audiences back in time to the very beginnings of country music and pays homage not only to Williams, but also to other country legends, such as Jimmie Rodgers, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Webb Pierce, George Jones, and many more. Jason takes us on an insightful journey into the life of Hank Williams as only Jason can. In 8 years of research on the "original", Jason has had the chance to speak with friends, band members, family, biographers and other Opry legends who knew Hank.

It is through this research that Jason really grasps the genius of the man....and the pitfalls that cost him his life at the young age of 29. Since Jason, as an actor, has actually stood in those legendary shoes, only he can bring the audience in close enough for a rare insight into the mind of this talented and quite lonely man, Jason re-creates such Williams' hits as "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", "Your Cheatin' Heart", "Hey Good Lookin' ", "Kaw-Liga", "Cold Cold Heart", "Lovesick Blues", "You Win Again" and many more.

But this astonishing show is more than just a Hank Williams tribute...thus the title. Jason pays tribute to stars that influenced Hank and those stars that Hank influenced.

Backed by an authentic four-piece band, "Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes" will have you smiling, crying, with your hands and feet clapping and stomping along with excitement. Come see why critics and fans are raving about Jason Petty in "Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes".

You will be so glad that you did!

Under the direction of trumpeter Fred Radke, the Harry James Orchestra continues to bring audiences to their feet with the revitalized music of the big band era. Launched by trumpeter Harry James in 1939, who left the Benny Goodman Orchestra to start his own band, the Harry James Orchestra was one of the best-selling groups of the big band era. James, one of the most outstanding instrumentalists of the swing era, was also one of the most popular bandleaders of the first half of the 1940s. He continued to lead his band until just before his death in 1983.

Popular hits include "I've Heard That Song Before," from the movie "Youth on Parade," "You Made Me Love You," , the number one instrumental hit "Sleepy Lagoon," "I Had the Craziest Dream," "You'll Never Know," and James' theme song, "Ciribiribin."  The Harry James Orchestra was instrumental in launching the careers of numerous pop music stars of the World War II era, including Frank Sinatra and Helen Forrest.

Trumpeter, conductor, musical clinican and educator Fred Radke, one-time lead trumpeter for the Harry James Orchestra, was hand-picked by the Harry James estate in 1989 to lead the Harry James Orchestra for its 50th anniversary tour. He has continued in that role off and on for the past 20 years. Radke's performances on trumpet are often cited for their similarity of sound and music style to that of his mentor, Harry James. Radke is also in his 16th year as the Seattle Four Seasons Olympic Hotel's Music Director and house big-band leader and has appeared in ballrooms and nightclubs throughout the U.S. and Canada.

He has also played lead trumpet for the Glen Miller Orchestra, led by Ray McKinnley, and appeared in the same role with Leslie Uggams, The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Johnny Ray, Phil Harris, The Modernaires, Jack Jones, The Pied Pipers, Earl Grant, The Lennon Sisters, The King Family, Dennis Day, Connie Stevens, Pat Boone, Edie Adams, Anita O'Day, Rich Little, Art Lund, Ella Fitzgerald, Connie Haines and Mel Torme'.

REVIEW:

The Harry James Orchestra, The Bob Hope Cultural Center

"Harry James wrote of Mr. Radke, 'Since he left my orchestra, Fred has gained an outstanding reputation throughout the United States and Canada, as a great trumpet soloist, conductor and educator of music.' It has been noted that Fred Radke's style of trumpet playing is so similar to Mr. James' that listeners often cannot discern the difference. He was first choice to lead The Harry James Orchestra because of his unique talents and broad area of expertise."
